Design of metal-plastic container for accumulation, storage and use of hydrogen:
1 – light, thin-walled, welded sealed casing:
1.1. – shell;
1.2 – bottom with hole for neck;
1.3 - гblind bottom;

Areas of applications
The combined metal-plastic containers for accumulation, storage and use of hydrogen are supposed to apply at the facilities of hydrogen power engineering in the aircraft and rocket building for equipping the aircraft and rocket engineering of different purposes.
Brief description
The project is aimed at creating the combined containers for accumulation, storage and use of hydrogen. The task of the work is the creation of high-strength fiber composite material for reinforcement of welded containers, development of technologies for manufacture of thin-walled body, determination of properties of the produced composite, welded joints and manufactured combined container.
Expected properties
The body of austenitic steel will provide a proper sealing during storage of hydrogen and the outer casing will provide resistance against fracture of inner pressure. The high strength and relatively low mass of high strength fibers in the composition of the outer casing contribute to reduction in thickness of the wall of the steel body, total weight of the combined container and improvement of its reliability and serviceability.

Low mass and size index (m/V) and capability of accumulation and storage of hydrogen under the pressure of up to 35-75 MPa.

Project development
The technologies were developed and the production of light metal-plastic cylinders for accumulation, storage, transportation and use of compressed gases, with the welded metal body reinforced by composite material was prepared.
