Hydrogen production
The main objectives of the program
Fundamental problems of developing environmentally friendly technologies, low-cost, efficient hydrogen production, primarily using renewable energy sources.
Expected results:
-will be established laws of chemical reactions in hydrogen by conversion of various organic waste mixtures of natural and synthetic polymers, the impact on the processes of new catalysts, especially those that do not contain precious metals;
solid fuels and various organic wastes;
-will be obtained fundamental results on the effects of modifying the electrode, particularly transition metal oxides, the cathode and anode in the electrolysis process water;
- will be offered approaches to improve the efficiency and adaptability of photo electrochemical hydrogen through the use of film and nanocomposite photoanodes, modifying their surface, theoretically grounded and developed the idea completely reversible photoelectrochemical cell with the accumulation of hydrogen;
-obtained fundamental results will form the basis to ensure the practical application of developments in the field of low-cost, environmentally friendly technologies and systems for hydrogen production, including the use of wind, solar and other renewables in technology to produce hydrogen directly on-site consumption, improve electrochemical methods of hydrogen production and others.
