Abstract

As-cast and annealed at subsolidus temperatures Nb–Mo–B alloys in the region Nb–NbB–MoB–Mo were experimentally studied by X-ray diffraction technique, metallography and electron microprobe analyses. Temperatures of incipient melting were measured by pyrometry after Pirani-Alterthum. Basing on the data obtained the Nb–Mo–B solidus and liquidus surface projections were constructed at the B content up to 50% (at.) for the first time.
