Abstract

An overview of the nanocrystalline powders technology in the Al2O3—ZrO2—Y2O3— CeO2 system is carried out. There are mechanical, chemical and combined methods for the powders producing . It is found that complex technologies are preferred for the synthesis of high-homogeneity nanocrystalline powders. Synthesis of nanocrystalline powders of complex compositions is an important step in the microstructural design of ZTA composites, since the properties of the initial powders determine the characteristics of the composites. ZTA-composites are used in the manufacture of materials for instrumental, structural and medical purposes.
