Abstract

The paper studies the structurization of titanium carbide ceramics by pressureless sintering with additions of synthesized superfine powder composites in the SiC–Fe2O3 system as the master alloy. The superfine master alloy particles promote the formation of a homogeneous structure in TiC0.7N0.3 titanium carbonitride and hardening of the material obtained. The mechanical properties of the materials are examined.
