Abstract

The thermokinetic model is used to study the processes that occur in the Ni–Al powder reaction system in contact melting. The effect of control parameters on the nature of these processes is examined through a computer experiment. The kinetic dependences and maximum temperatures developing in the system in the synthesis of the equiatomic intermetallide (NiAl) are compared for two heat transfer cases: radiation and thermal conductivity.
