Abstract

The influence of high loads on the wear resistance in sliding friction, anti-friction characteristics and switching capacity of friction pairs with a sliding contact of the three types of materials: metal-based, from carbon and graphite and carbon-metalcontaining compositions. Sliding contact of metal material on the basis of the test could not stand because of the development setting with counterface material. High hardness contacts from carbon-metal-containing composition has caused increased wear of the counterface. Based on the results of a comprehensive study concluded that the need to improve the anti-friction properties of this material for possible use in high loads.
