Abstract

Introduction of an activated lamellar fine basalt filler (fraction from 50 to 200 mcm) into the polymer matrix creates a chaotic overlapped multi-layer reinforced frame in the volume of the coating. Comparative physics-mechanical tests of the initial epoxy, polyester, polyurethane polymer matrices and matrices reinforced with activated basalt-scalefiller showed that the introduction of the filler, regardless of the nature of the polymer matrix, increases the elastic modulus of the composite from 2.65GPa to 4.15 GPa; the hardness from 84 MPa to 165MPа and the yield strength from 25.7 MPa to 50 MPa.
