Abstract

The a priori pseudopotential method is employed to propose a model by which phase boundaries form in quasibinary eutectic systems. Interface energy for boride and cermet quasibinary eutectic composites, LaB6–TiB2 and LaB6–ZrB2, is calculated for different temperatures.
