Abstract

Mixing enthalpies of the liquid alloys of the binary Ni—La system were determined by an isoperibolic calorimetry technique in the concentration range 0,75 < xNi < 0,80 at 1800 K. Thermodynamic properties of the liquid binary alloys Ni—La were calculated for the whole concentration range using the model of ideal associated solutions and reliable literary data. The thermodynamic activities of components display the negative deviations from the ideal behavior; mixing enthalpies are characterized by moderate exothermic effects. Minimum value of the mixing enthalpies of melts is 30,0 kJ / mol at xNi = 0,6. Using their own and literature data on the thermodynamic properties of liquid alloys Ni—REМ, projected the same characteristics of unexplored.
