Abstract

The kinetic data of oxidation processes of different samples of tungsten in the water vapor and in the air at the isothermal and non-isothermal conditions and temperatures up to 800 ºC. Test specimens differed in surface area and dimensions of the particles. The basic parameters for the development of technological schemes for the production of hydrogen by tungsten-steam method were identified and recommended. This information is useful for developing of regeneration technology of tungsten from tungsten-containing waste materials. The mechanism of failure of the compact samples in the temperature range of 400—800 ºC was analyzed.
