Abstract

The corrosion behavior of composite electrolytic nickel-based coatings in 3% NaCl solution is examined. The corrosion resistance of coatings as a foil and coatings on a steel substrate is compared. The corrosion characteristics of composite Ni–B and Ni–Ti electrolytic coatings are shown to be consistent with those of pure Ni.
