Thermodynamic Characteristics of Er5Ge3 at High Temperatures

Abstract

The enthalpy of Er5Ge3 is measured for the first time with drop calorimetry over a range from 467 to 2335 K. The temperature dependences of enthalpy, heat capacity, entropy, and Gibbs free energy are obtained. The melting enthalpy and entropy of the compound are calculated.
