Abstract

The article presents a brief overview of the current state of the Powder Metallurgy made at the annual European Congress on Powder Metallurgy in September 2013 (Gothenburg, Sweden). It is noted that the Powder Metallurgy is onto a path of sustainable development. The possibility of increasing the volumes of powder metallurgy applications in the transport sector is overvewed. Detail basic advantages and disadvantages, as well as obstacles to the spread of new technology called Additive manufacture of metal powder articles are discussed.
